Track

Produced by the Arterial Group in partnership with Brisbane Powerhouse and QUT Creative Industries Research and Applications Centre and Faculty of Information Technology.

Track is the product of a three year research and collaborative development process of engaging with communities, individuals and groups associated with the Powerhouse as an industrial centre and a derelict site, prior to it’s restoration as a live arts centre in 2000.

Track acknowledges the original owners of the land, on a timescale whereby the builders of the Powerhouse and its industrial environs are a mere “blip” on the landscape, albeit a seismically disastrous one for local indigenous cultures and the flora and fauna of the Brisbane River.

Track was funded by the Australia Council New Media Arts Board, Brisbane City Council and Brisbane Powerhouse.
